new front discs/pads advice

right, the g/f has a '98 Polo 1.4CL and the brakes are and always have been, sh1te!
we had them replaced 6-7 months ago at some non-vw place and they've now been replaced 3 times since then coz they keep warping. Whats going on?? She's a really gentle driver, never drives fast - i hardly drive the car either so it ain't me
Any ideas? I'm thinking of doing them myself next, just wanted some advice as to what it could be? and if i replace them, where should i go to get new discs/pads? eurocarparts are cheap but arethey any good?
