The front seats (well mainly drivers) in my 1990 Mk2 are crap, well after almost 110k of mainly urban driving (that;s a lot of bum in seat hours) it's not surprising!
Aside from that they aren't exactly the most comfortable seats in the world. My bro has a late MK2 Golf and the seats look similar but have way more padding and are far more comfortable.

Does anyone know what seats could basically be bolted straight in that would be much better?MK3?? Golf??
someone told me he'd a set of MK2 GT seats or something anyone know what they'd be like?

i had g40 seats in my mk2, you can fit mk1 mk2 golf seats, mk1 2 and 3 polo seats and also scirocco seats which sit alot lower so they feel a lot more race track ish! my seats have huge bolsters so they are like bucket seats and the most comfortable seats iv sat in!Image

I've been offered some Coupe S seats in dark grey but ahven't seen them yet. Door cards too........although I'm guessing rears in coupe/hatch are different

Would they have better padding/support than stadard MK2 ones?

Anyone know would it be esy to change the covers? Dunno if I want a darker interior

Not without the bench looking sh!t.

I'm surprised why no one has recommended corrado front seats, I have a set in mine and they are far superior to all other VW seats of the time in every way, they just bolt in too.

So can you use a newer POLO back seat? I didn't catch if the "not witout looking like sheet.. meant newer (Like '96 Polo) back seats could be swapped. I assume post 2000 seats don't cut it, but what about MK3?
I see some on Ebay for a good price and might just get a whole set of new seats for cheap...
