Hi All

I was left a message on house phone on sunday by a cop from birmingham, he said in the message that my car had been in an accident and that it left the scene. I didnt get the message till monday as was in yorkshire from friday till late sunday with my mum. So mum rang the cop straight away as shes the registered owner, and just explained that we were know where near birmingham etc, he said it was a black guy that crashed into a woman on one of the worst council estates in birmingh, but he just took off, woman wrote the reg down which was mine, but i were no where near it, so some sh*t must be using my plates.
Police where ok about it, gonna send us some letter, need to keep some info in car becuase he said the police will now more than likely pull me over any time see the reg or the scaners in their cars get me.
If anyone knows of a gti around birmingham that has recently crashed or anyone trying to sell parts of one etc, please let me know.

Could she of just got the number plate wrong? If not, i hope the catch the scum bag!

i agreaa with ry, i bet she got the number plate wrong, after all if he was speed of as described she'd have to be very good to remember the reg and details of the car. u try reading "vw polo gti silver reg **** *** with a black guy driving" thats impressive if she can rememebr all that and then write it all down without mixing something up. i know i couldnt do it.

but hey, if it all gets sorted then thats cool.

Do you not think it's a little bit of a coincidence that even if she got the number wrong, the number she did write down was also of a Polo, let alone another polo gti???

It's probably some sod who's stolen your number so he can get away with stuff like this

yea u have a point.......... there is a possibility, 1 in...... dunno prob about 5 million or more. but if u can get away with the story then fine. make sure hes caught.......... chase him down urself. then change his reg to M3 G4Y ........ that'll teach him. if u dont get wt it says it says (ME GAY)

maybe you're the one driving around with fake plates?

maybe u sleep walk and drive ur car....... i dunno.......... its possible.......... failing that if hes using ur number plates, how did he get them and how did he find out the plate of a gti same colour as his?

what people do is they look for an identical car to the 1 which they own...and they simply remove the plates...and stick it onto their vehicle...or they have a new set of plates made up...
