Alex's Polo - New lights finally fitted - with photos!

Post by alexperkins »

Well I received my new bulbs today from powerbulbs, and as promised I have snapped photos of before and after :P The difference is incredible. here is a rundown of the bulbs I now have:

1x Pair of PowerBulbs PowerBlue H7
1x Pair of PowerBulbs PowerBlue H1
1x Pair of UltraLed's U501WHP2+

Next on the list of changes is the GTI Grille and a set of VW mudflaps :P

Below are photos of all the bulbs - in order of fitting :D

Enjoy!

Alex :)

Look tidy mate. They actually look white as opposed to the ones you always see on corsas/saxos which have more blue to them than white. Makes the light seem a lot cleaner, if that makes sense. I was gonna get some for my mk4 bu I gonna get angel eyes instead now. Btw does ne one know what colour the bulbs are in the majority of angel eyes? Because on my dads car he got angek eyes as the optional extra and they have the white xenons bulbs, but Ive seen a few BMW's x-3/x-5 with the yellowy colour lights and a quite like them.

Angel eyes are normally LEDs aren't they?

New bulbs look fantastic Alex, well done mate. I need to purchase some Philips sidelight bulbs/LEDs for mine and get rid of the yellowness! 8)

Anything other than LED's are still going to look yellow against the xenon light output Si.

IMO, as is it such hassle to change the sidelights/main beam bulbs, I would get it right 1st time. Just follow my guide, it really isn't too bad if you are thorough and methodical.

Oh and alex......cough thanks for the recommendations cough

Ring them and let them know, that happened with mine so he said "send them back to us, we'll test them and send you out 2 new ones"

The service is first class :D
