Anyone recommened a good ride height for when I get my coilovers fitted? I was thinking around 50mm all round, but do they not have to be different at the rear? I want the car to look good but not to sacrafise the driveability. I use the multi-storey a lot for parking so it would have to be suitable for that.

Cheers guys

50mm Ok. I think mine is roughly around 50mm at the front. Multi-storey carparks are no problem.

Drop it a bit. Stand back, take a look. Drop it a bit more. Stand back... etc etc. When you get to a point where you are happy with how it looks, don't lower it any more

I'm going for a similar stance to D-Dub which is approx 60-70mm (hard to tell from the photos) basically removing that 2" of arch gap all round.

If you can't get the car to sit level, make the back *slightly* higher than the front. Looks better than vice versa 8)

I've just seen some pics of 50mm drops and it looks fine so I'm gonna go for that. Watch this space 8)

D-dub yours looks a really good height.

Looks perfect in your sig pic.

Go for 50 or so mouse if your after practicality, and when it comes to shows etc, its only half an hour or so to drop it on its arse!

i remember seeing someone just jacking the car up to adjust them at the polo show, but im pretty sure if you want them deadly accurae with no hassle at all you would need to whip the wheels off :(

I want air bags!

Should be able to go down more than 50mm and still use multistories. Im guessing mine is about 65-70mm and I dont have any trouble with them. I think that as the polo has a fairly short wheel base that helps too in car parks.

Im thinking about lowering some more at the front in the spring 8)

Don't suppose someone could measure there standard height polo gti front and rear (from centre of centre cap to wheel arch) for us coilover people. Its really annoying not knowing how low you are and i'm sure a lot of people would appreciate it :D

Or you could do it from floor to splitter, not the proper way but a bloke at the midlands meet with 15s on 195/45s had 9 inches or just over ground clearance from his splitter.

I have less than 4 :|

You need to take your wheels off to adjust coilies, how else could you work the C-Spanner?

My KWs wouldn't even adjust without the wheel off because the grub screw needs loosening :(

It's the spanner that fits the lock nut (bottom of the spring)
