Heya Guy.. seeing as the Mk5 GTI's come with a spoiler i'm guessin you guys can tell me if this is the same spoiler you have or is it a imitation spoiler.

Im sure the spoiler on the GTI MK5's haven't got a gap at the top like the first photo? anyone know if this the correct spoiler?

Yeh it is the same spoiler but from a diffrent angle.

Its definitely not right it's an imitation

It's deffo an imitation, pretty similar to the OEM one but isn't it.

it's the OEM Votex one for all other models, as they have a brake light at the top of the boot rather than built in to the spoiler

ye thats the votex one bcause i got 1.

the spoiler in the first few pics looks different and is different from the original. the original doesnt have a gap also it sits flush with the roof. whereas the aftermarket one has a gap and also sticks out a bit at the top (due to the brake light on the boot)

Oh now i get ya, becoz the gti version hasn't got the breaklight attached to the boot you guys have a spoiler that sits flush with the roof and other modules that have a brealight attached to the boot can only get the off the market one coz the other one would hide the orignal breaklight right ?

I've found an clearer example of the spoiler for sale

just get a genuine GTI one it wont cover the whole break light, if it does...ah well
