Hey guys,

I have a Pioneer DEH-30MP head-unit which has a 200W pre-amp (i think) :?:

I was looking to upgrade my sound system with some new 6x9s, but i didnt want a sub. and was considering something like these...

http://www.vibeaudio.co.uk/index.asp?pa ... sek-f.html

I want to run them off the head-unit (advantages disadvantages???) and would it be underpowered/need to remove rear stock speakers?

Or am i looking at MORE money for an amp?

Thanks, sorry for all the questions...

I have the vibe slick 69 - 6x9's and run them off my kenwood head unit and they sound great (160w RMS) a we amp would make them sound that bit better, but they do the job, since there is no speakers in the back off my polo.

the headunit will be about 20 watts rms per channel
depends what you want from your system 6x9's are made to be cheap and loud but poor quality and don't expect bass from them they'll only give you mid bass
best bet is some components up front if you just want better sound if you want bass the only real way is a small sub and enclosure
