Mines just come up. A bit confused tho. Got the car serviced about 6 months ago @ 16,000 miles and now shes at 21800 miles and its come. Scared the crap out of me tho as I thought I was running without any oil in her. Checked her and shes fine. Anyone know why this comes up? Also how often do u service u polo?

Cheers

Check your manual, But if i recall correctly its every 10000 Miles or every 6 Months, Which ever comes first, No need to worry bout it mate, i ran for that on for about 2000 miles before i could be bothered to get it all sorted  just a small service you need, oil filter and new oil

It's usually 10,000 or 12 months whichever is first, if they changed the oil etc last time, they may not have reset it properly.

It happened to me when I bought mine, VW serviced it before I picked it up but didn't reset the service interval, so it came on prematurely.

and some times if you have it serviced at a non genuine vw garage they dont have the correct tool to reset it properly, mine has done this on several occasions, i think all in all 3 warning lights have come on

I'm pretty sure you can reset it yourself mate, there's no special tool.
