The Return Of The Mystery Machine

Well as you may or may not know I crashed my polo 2 months ago... 3/10/06 to be more precise...
Well the radiator leaked so I knew that would need changing and after I managed to open up the bonnet as it was stuck I discovered all sorts of issues.
Both chassis legs were severely bent (approx 15cm+) so that was worrying...
Insurance would have blatantly wrote it off but being third party they didn't even come to take a look. Also there was a dent underneath the driver side arch so 15" wheels are a No No... so replaced that temporarily with my spare wheel...
So the damaged parts: both wings, radiator, front panel, front bumper, dent underneath arch, headlights, indicators, grille, bonnet lock, and chassis legs... and the drivers door was slightly catching the wing
I managed to save the bonnet
Day of the accident ("It's not so bad... maybe just the front bumper and headlights and grille etc....No Biggie")

Next day... Daylight (After taking the bumper off and discovering the bonnet is stuck)

("Hmmm Im Pretty sure these metal things aren't supposed to be bent like that)

So I decided to take apart the front pannel by any means neccessary to get the bonnet opened...
Ermmm.... that's a bit of a,,,ermm mess?

Soooo.... after over 2 months of waiting around weather someone's gonna come and look at the car or not I decided enough is enough and took matters into my own hands...
No way was I gonna let my first car be a write off (even if it blatantly is)... so last wednesday 13/12/06 the work began and after a lot of money later (could have really bought another polo for the money but yeah... didn't want to
so yeah..the rumours are true I'm missing a screw or two)
And the finished product...

(I have fogs... so whats the point...they're not connected lol)

As you can see it's returned back to standard, so will be keeping it for another few months and then selling up. If it was a smaller crash I'd keep it and go for a different look but that different look will be going on another car.
Hope you haven't fallen asleep by now....
Thats all.
