My cousin just took delivery of his new Polo (1.4 SE) and I noticed he had the "leather pack" of Leather trimmed steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake grip and also the Chrome-plated internal door handles and handbrake knob.

If these parts were bought seperately by me, would VW dealers be able to fit them to my car (2005 1.2 Polo)? Its not really a big deal but if they did fit interior parts, I was thinking of maybe upgrading to these parts to be like the "Sport/SE" models.

Depends on the dealer. A lot of them won't fit anything other than parts they've supplied.

Most of it shouldn't be too bad to DIY in I wouldn't have thought.

tbh, I'd have a go at the gear knob and handbrake lever and also the interior door handles. I'd leave the steering wheel to the pro's tho. Would be cheaper to get yours trimmed in leather than buy one from VW's i'd imagine.

Easier to pay for a retrim than spend forever trying to find a leather interior.
