Hey guys and girlsss, ive been involved in an accident and i would like some of your opinions to whether the damage caused will end up with a write off or not?

-damage is to the grill, front bumper, side wing, bonnet, left headlight/indicator..

opinions are appretiated along with reasonable quotes for getting it repaired..

its a nightmare for me...

thanks people :)

£300-£500 worth maybe...

Depends on a number of things... are you gonna buy part new or used... (used a assume) also whether you find parts in the right colour or if painting is needed...

Doesn't look too bad from the picture

hey that looks minor. I wouldnt be too concerned with that. Check for any dents in the radiator and also check that nothing is leaking.

ALSO!!! I would strongly recomend not buying a new headlight shell... i brought one new for £50... you can buy them alot cheaper on ebay... AND THATS the same for the grill... it will be very deer if you buy the parts brand new... i would recomend looking at ebay.. your save yourself ALOT of money... also for the bumber... its not rare to find one knocking about for £25... but it will take a little bit of looking for!!!

GOOD luck... and dont let a mechanic do the "oooohhh ouch" spech.. where they say it will cost a lot... when it really doesnt have to.

P.S!!!! second looks at the picture look a fairly bit concerning!!! it looks like you have a leak at the bottom right... hopefully its nothing but what you want to do is check that out... CHECK your water tank... if their is water in their... then your allright... but my guess is that it will be empty... and explains the water you can see on the road.. thus you maybe looking at a new radiator.

oh righttt... =/, wel the insurance company is involved now, and as i am fully comp, they will pay the most part if it is more than 500, cuz my excess is 500 anyways ¬_¬.. sigh,, i mite as well take advantage of it and get new brakes etc fitted in as well..? is it possible to do that? for example, get the body repaired and get a service with the insurance paying it off?

Depends if you slip the bodyshop manager a few quid and ask him he'd have a look at the brakes seeing as it's Christmas.

In all honesty, so long as the slam's straight, there's nowhere near £500 worth of work there if you DIY it with some right-color second hand parts.

where are you situated mate? I swear the area in the background looks familiar to me. You in south london? Or am i hullucinating... probably the latter.

It shouldnt cost that much, most expensive part id imagine is the panel or boot. German and swedish do a shiny new light for like £45 i think if memory serves. If you are in south london i know where you can get all the parts fairly cheap from a place called the golf shop or performance volkwasgon... i swear it has two names...I dunno im easily confused anyway! Unless hes sold the bits then he will definately have them there ive stripped two polos for him now so you would be sorted.
