i had 15's on my mk3 with no rubbing whatsoever (on standard ride height..)

only problem i had was that the car bump steered and tramlined...

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on a number of factors.

What you define a good lowering kit ? They all have different characteristics and prices.

is it a coupe or a squareback? i have 15x6.5 on my mk3 n i have a graunching noise when the suspension is at a low, i.e. in a downer on a bump! also it rubs on the suspension on one side at the rear, i have 3mm spacers on the back! with suspension mod i believe that the graunching would stop and a bit of modification to the rear suspension strut will cure the rear! if i were u i would go to somewhere where the buy alloys and see if they have a number or something to ring, i ordered some 15x7 alloys and i was told they wouldn't fit, lucky i didn't get them cause if i am having problems with my current alloys, i dread to think wot they would be like with the wider ones! hope this helps
