LUPO GTI

Post by smokey666 »

Hi guys, im thinking of buying a Lupo GTI once i get my no claims what do you reckon?

I think they look great, especially if you get xenons. Insurance is group 10 which is fairly high but not to bad.

I keep trying to persuading my girlfriend to get one, but she's having none of it.

I looked into one before getting my Polo GTi.

You should really try looking at

the looks just dont work for me as much as the polo

major benefits over the polo tho:

-6 speed gearbox (no issues that i know of)
-faster
-more easily available parts

the only reason i took the stupid route was because i love the look of that polo gti soo much (love is blind). So if you like the look of it get on it!

Inside space is identcal to the polo, infact if i remember correctly the rear leg room is more. The boot's are tiny though, especially having the battery in them. They all have xenons as well mate. Nice motor, but interior trim isnt as nice as the polo (small door cards with body coloured metal showing). They also dont have climate control and a/c was an optional extra.

I really like the Lupo GTi but the tiny tiny boot sent me towards the Polo in the end. I would love a Lupo's 6-speed 'box in my GTi but I heard it is either complicated or expensive. Or both! :?

I think they're great cars. The Lupo GTI makes the Polo look sedate, in my opinion. I'd love one as my next car.

Sorry for being a turncoat

I love them, the main difference for me is that they are so different from the next model down (sport) and have so many changes, arches, front and rear spoilers, xenons, washers, interior, aluminium wings, bonnet different glass, battery in boot.. looks like they put a lot more effort into it than the polo.

As mentioned they hold their value well.. too well or I would have bought one for my track day project instead of the sport!

I do like the Loop GTi but unfortunately I don't even think my sub would fit in the boot let alone the box and amps
