Quick update on the car

Went to see a guy today regarding the problems with my car and killed 3 birds with 1 stone. It turned out that the pipe behind the boot trim was loose. This was causing the washer jet to loose power. This also had damaged the switch, causing the boot light sensor to malfunction, which in turn is telling the alarm that the car isn't secured even though it is. The foam which was on the inside on the boot trim was absolutely soaking, but thankfully it had absorbed most of the water.

Regarding the aftermarket alarm, I've decided to get it removed as it's more hassle than it's worth. The fact the other guy bypassed the fuel pump relay has made the aftermarket one redundant, and it will only work as a siren...the original alarm/immobilser is doing some of the work too. Basically I got a hybird alarm lol. Plus it looks crap in the engine bay.

So the car is going back in next Saturday to get a new switch fitted, the aftermarket alarm removed and the original alarm/immobiliser properly reactivated. Then he will take a look at my dodgy interior light. I'm well chuffed now I know that the car is going to be better 8)

It is on the road  It's great having it back even with the problems. Getting it sorted for £50. Pretty good in my eyes

Try tightening it with a tie-wrap. Should stop it. At least you know its come loose when you loose squirting power
