Hi all

Just seen insurance is due for renewal in feb, ive been with its4me.co.uk for last two years. Was 17 when i started driving gti, cost me about £360 a month then, this year has been around 240 a month and looks like their trying to charge me the same again if renew so want to find somewhere cheaper if i can. Been driving for 2years with no claims, 19 years old,3door gti.
Where should i try?

cheers
tom

£360 is shocking! Why would you pay that at such a young age?? Crazy! Anyways, i'm with NU and pay £550 FC on a 1.4 8v, with 1NCB and im 19. 2nd yr is coming up this month. :D

I'm with Brentacre, they have been excellent to me. I was with Direct Line for two years and they were very competitive on price but wouldn't allow modifications hence the switch to Brentacre.

What you paid for a month when you were 17, would cover my current policy (minus the business cover) for twelve months!! :o

WOOWWWWW.....£360!!!...stay right away from them!!! your best bet is as they said quinn direct....try norwich union....they aint too bad either...i have third party fire + theft coverage = £867 for the YEAR...and thats with 3 years no claims, and being 20 years of age...i was peed off with that, but having seen what they've quoted u...maybe i shouldnt have!!...quinn direct, norwich union and try elephant.com....good luck!! :D

im with tescos. got a x reg 1 litre all mods declared on the insurance and i got 4 years ncb this month and my renewal price is £492.45 for the year. that includes motor legal protection (watever the fcuk that is)...... altho i think it means if n e thing happens like someone goes into me they sort it all out for me and i dont have to worry abotu doing n e thing. that price also includes my break down cover to with green flag.

Im also with Brentcare. Before I modified my car it was with Direct Line. I refuse to have anything to do with Norwich Union anymore since they made all there uk call center workers redundant. £360 a month is nearly what I pay for a year

Elephant were the cheapest for me, I paid a little under £300 fully comp with 5 years no claims protected at 25.

Directline were close however.

I'm with egg the card company. Beat everyone else's quotes I got by half.
