Have been looking at Awesome's web site and came across this -

KVW100 Window Roll Up/Down Flash Load Module
Control Volkswagen windows and sunroof with your remote keyfob.
For years Audi owners have had the luxury of being able to control window up and down functions via keyfob remote. Now Volkswagen owners can enjoy the same feature! The KVW100 is a single use flash load device that will program your VW convenience control module with the necessary coding to control your windows via key fob remote. Installation is extremely easy and can be completed in minutes. Please note this is not a feature that can be enabled via VAG-COM this unit flashes the convenience control module with new coding.
Modules 1C0 or 6Q0:
• One touch lock button :: Windows and sunroof roll up and close automatically
• Double tap lock button (lock+lock) :: Windows and sunroof maintain original position
• Hold remote unlock button :: Windows will roll down until unlock button is released

Modules 1J0 :

Just had a look on their site and it does look good but where does that black module have to be plugged into?

Good price too.

Hey Dino,

Apparently it plugs into the same port as the diagnostic lead goes in. Under the steering wheel somewhere?

Think I'm goning to just get it and hope for the best - I'm sure if it doesnt work they will sort me out.

From what they have told me you plug it in, turn the electrics on then wait for an led to turn off on the module then turn off, take module out and hey presto its done. The module re-writes the cars 'brain' forever - It's a one use thing though so if it dont work I'm knackered

Ok, your old fashioned LOL I think I must just be lasy then, I do have a habit of leaving my window opened a bit and not noticing until I come back to it. If this thing works it will give me peace of mind

I'd be wary on using one of these. On MK4 Golfs, I've heard these things make it work, but have side effects such as the alarm siren no longer goes off when the alarm goes off
