i have my ats cups back from the refurbers, they have been diamond cut & look superb!
i want to space out the rears to give a nice stance as they are 7j all round, what is recommended? 20mm?
also to space out the rears & lower it without scrubbing i think i would need to stretch the rear tyres, is a 175 stretch on a 7j rim safe?
thanks

Well it depends on the offset on the wheels whether they'll ned spacing out or not!
What car is it going on? What size wheels are they?175 is on the limit with a 7j rim i think. Prob 185 is your safest bet. I'm going 195 on an 8j rim and thats meant to give a really nice stretch.

maybe 10-20mm spacing then...depending on how phat you want? 'cos et35 is sitting perfectly.

there were people running 165s on a 7" rim.

... just need the pressure a bit higher.

its just that wider stance im after, im a cheapo & couldnt afford to get two 8" ats cups for the rears so i'll space them out instead
just wanted an opinion as to what would be best for spacers? you say 10-20mm?

does depend what tyre size you are going for
if you're going for skinny tyres and mega spacing then itll look like you have bicycle wheels attached??
I personally like the wider tyres, i would go for 195 tyres and 20mm spacers.

with that in mind, wont it rub like a b*stard on the rears?

also depends how low...
with 195/45/15 (15" rim im assuming) they wont rub -60mm. some even run -80mm without problems.
Have you seen Ollie_R's car?

hes running 195s and 20mil spacers at the back, but i think his rims are 6.5" wide.

its about running legal though, i.e tread line has to be under the arch, my extra half an inch could be the difference with running 195's & using 20mm spacers, it doesnt really look as if theres a noticable difference on the stance on ollies car
