rear breaks

hi,
will the rear breaks on a 1.4 16V 6N polo fit onto the 1.0?

If you mean rear disc brakes the answer is yes, it is possible but with allot of hard work from what I hear.
I wouldn't advise going for rear discs unless you are running some rediculious horse power. I would advise going for 16V front discs instead which would require changing the brake calipers + pads and discs, but ALLOT less hassle than a rear disc conversion.

Yeah they'd fit, but as Neil states: it's a bit of a job.
It looks a lot better though, but after I got my wheels on the rusty old brake drum was nearly invisible. So I didn't really want it that bad after that.
I guess the moral is: Get some 'closed' wheels. Much easier.
If you're serious about this, keep in mind that you need the axle spindles as well, and some brakes lines that actually fit. Also, the handbrake cable needs to be longer.
