Hi all, im new on this forum and will be posting up pics of my first car, which is obviously a polo!!! I own a mk2 1987 squareback 1.05 c. Got it free off my parents with a whole 55 thousand miles and a full service history :D

Shame the body work does need work. However im already workin on this and pics will be posted on as soon as I get my digital cam back up and working- like I get the time!!

I was wondering if its possible to change the 32 weber already on the car to a set of 4 gsxr600 motorbike carbs or similar e.g 4 bike carbs. If so would I get any gains on bhp/speed?? Or is it just pointless on such a small engine??

Thnx everyone :)

The general idea around 1 litres are that there not worth doing anything too, just enjoy what you have :)

I say go for it mate, try and squeeze all the power you can out of your 1.0l, and if you can then it'll swap over to a 1.3 if traht fits in with your plans. get some pics up of your car she sounds like a beauty, I've got an 84 sqaureback. welcome

also pop over to httunning.co.uk, they know the polo engine inside out - in fact the owner has a supercharged 1.0l

Have to agree, if you want a faster car, then go out and buy a faster one.

Saying that, the 1L mk2 I have does put a lot of 1.3L cars in their places :-)
