Im going to get some new wheels in a different PCD and going to run a 20mm adapter.
the rim offset is 34 and with a 20mm spacer is this going to be sticking out too much from the arch?
so its going to be like having a et54 on my wheels, correct?

Ditto
ya might get away with that offset depending on wheel / tyre size

Whats the width of the wheel and tyre size you intend to use?
ET14 at the rear will be okay as long as you don't go very low.
At the front your probably cutting it a bit fine!

it all depends on the width of those wheels, put up some sizes

If its 8J you will most likely have problems in the front even if your not so low and have stretched tyres - arch modifications will be needed!
Anything below and you may just be okay. Back would be fine.
