well i have finally got myself sorted with another grille which i have subsequently sprayed an alternative grey gti stripe on it matches nice with the grey badge and is a nice subtle mod!









i have also got a brand new gear knob from a gti!!! (pic not of my car but looks just like that!)





and i have done a little experimant with the gti grill badge which i think looks quite good!!









and got these off ebay thought they looked quite good!!!






what do you all think!??

Good job on the grill, the grey does look subtle and cool the r badge looks pretty good on the grill but not too sure about it since it belongs on the r32

your very right there hence why i chopped the 32 off and just left the R as that stands for vw racing correct me if im wrong! i just thought it was a nice touch on a vw thats modded!

i thought the R was just for volkswagen racing?

grille - nice job, i like it!

yeh i like the grill nice n subtle.. but u cant tell theres much done, and for the badges mate relly not a fan of them sorry

I'm split..... I actually like the 'R' badging on the front but think the VW badge and grille surround are a little too subtle..... The gray just looks a little too dark and from the pics it just looks like you have a black badge and nothing on the surround......

It may look clearer in the flesh though i'm just going on the pics.

I think the grille looks good!

But putting the R badge on is exactly the same as putting a GTI badge on......the simple fact is, there is nothing racey about a 1.4 8v!!! I know, i'v got one!

The badges are nice, but dont belong on the polo. Just my 2p

maybe the r will encourage me to get an engine conversion!!
