Reliability

Continuing from my previous thread in the Mk4 sub forum, I am set on getting a polo but not sure on whether to get a Mk4 or a Mk5!

Yesterday i was set on getting an Mk5 but today ive been looking at some owners reviews of the Mk5 on Parkers. About 80% of the owners reviews all were people complaining on how unreliable there Mk5 has been. The owners reviews on the Mk4 however were much more positive and the car was getting lots of praise!

I find this quite worrying, Is the Mk5 realy that unreliable?

Personally, my Mk5 has been extremely reliable. It's currently clocking in at 29,000 miles, so that's obviously a factor.

I think the only thing that has gone wrong was the lambda probe.

22,000 and the only problem was a fault sensor. Fingers crossed theres no more :D
