My passenger side brake light is out. What size/type of bulb is it and is it cheaper getting it online or in Halfords?

i normally just go into halfords. if all halfords are the same which i would assume they are, theyll have a "book" by the light bulbs section which u can flick through to find ur car and find out wat bulb u need for which light. if u get wat i mean?

I just took the old bulb out of mine, took it round to the local motor factors and asked if I could have another one. Lol!

It is pretty much a universal fit, and halfords have them, just look in the catalogue next to the light bulb section.

This is exactly what I did when mine went, only cost 39p for the replacement too

It takes less than a minute to remove the blown bulb, all the details you need (wattage/type) will be written on it

And don't buy Halfords own brand, they're crap, going by when I used them in my rear tail lights.
I'd go for the better brand (probably be Bosch).
At the minute though I'm using these

They glow dimly when the ignition is on, but are pretty damn bright when you brake.

I take it it's best to replace both at the same time

Not really needed.
Go to somewhere like Auto parts and buy a pack of ten.
Sounds daft, but there about 8p each trade (not sure the retail but it'll be somewhere around the 20p mark) so it would work out cheaper than a pair from Halfords.
Also, sort of random but I'll tell it anywhere.
I once went into a petrol station near me when I was caught short and needed a bulb one weekend and couldn't get to my tool box.
I asked him the price and he told me £5.69 for one!
I laughed in his face and bought a pair from Morrison's petrol station for 90p!

Typical Halfords. Read the chart, bought the bulbs, went to fit them but they are the wrong fitting
