I'm sure I asked vagparts what a set of all red seatbelts would cost and it was less than that for all of them - fair enough that doesn't include fitting but thats still a ripoff!

Thieving bastards

.
It seems to me that when setting their prices main dealers just double the price of any local VAG specialists. Everytime i've got a quote for work from VW its been at least double that of the next most expensive quote I got. And the one time I did pay VW to do the work on my car, I turned up to collect it early and saw that their 16 year old trainee was doing the work on his own!

Keep me updated if you can, If you are able to attach different belts to your tensioners then I will only need the actual tensioner, when i asked the guy in VW he said that I would have to buy the whole thing costing £145 + VAT and £100 labour.

I've tried scrappies but finding broken polo gti red seatbelts isn't easy, apparently they are different for 3 & 5 doors as well

On my 5 door the seat belts are red with black edging.

That makes 4 different colours I've seen then, mine are all black, you can also get all red, red with black edging and black with red edging! Why not just make them all the same?!

Theres no 'airbag' (pretensioner) on the gti belts. If yours are all red, metro gti ones will do the job as the fixtures are the same. Mine have black edges so i couldnt use them on mine. I have a set (of metro ones) if your interested.
Both of mine went (same symptons). I fixed them both once, then they went again, so i bought some 3 point harnesses in red instead.
