I know it may have been asked before but sifting through 64 pages on dial up no thanks. Every engine in the range i wanna know about! What is everyone getting, i know fuel prices vary but for example my 16v used to get 160miles to £20 driven 50% nice 50% hard.
Just let me know, because i am unsure as wether to get a 1.4 or 1.9D?
I had a sweaty fiesta 1.8D that did 240miles to £20 when it was about 98p a litre. Can the polo beasts beat that?
Cheers

it take 35 to fill mine
and i can get about 350/375 from a tank
all depends on the drivin style

^ What engine you got? ^
My 1.6 8v got about 260 miles from £30, I had mostly short journeys about 3-4 miles.
Haven't used a tank on the 1.4 16v yet but the first part of the tank dropped somewhat faster than it did in the 1.6. Seems to have slowed now.

After selling all my cars im left with a 2.0 sri vectra (TURD) and its killing £30 a week doing about 190miles, starting to annoy me compared to the diesels. Im stuck, both the 1.9d and 1.4 8v seem pretty similar, im just not sure if the petrol will be as good as a diesel on short runs.

I have a 1.4 TDi which I use 95% of the time at motorway speeds, 70-80mph.
I'm getting between 50-55 mpg
