Could anyone who has 16 inch bbs rx alloys on their polo post them up? Looking to purchase some 16's but want to know what they will look like on the car. Many Thanks. Personal opinions would be gratefull too, advantages disadvantages? Cheers 8)

Mine are RXIIs but my give you an idea...they are nice and I'm even thinking of buying another set as I cannot find any other type of wheel I like!

Yeah, I know, very disappointing, especially since I've had mine since 2004 (fitted April 2005 after refurb admittedly!).

Ha ha ha, I was thinking how odd since its like a ball-ache finding a set!

Phew, thats cheered me up! Thanks, now I can enjoy my weekend!

I have to say though, I can't seem to find another wheel that I like on my GTI, may be it's because I'm so into my OEM+ but I find Euro wheels a bit to Euro-e for my GTI and then retros don't suit it either as it's not retro-e enough...don't you think?

I'd settle some OZ Superleggras...in 16" no less...

Thats the problem with everything, once someone does something and the results are good, you are bound to find others doing the same. In a way you should look at it in a flattering way as what you have done has impacted on others in a good way. However, it can make the scene a little boring, its trying something new that always pushing the boundaries but then sticking with what you know works is not a bad thing either.

Ah...nice, have any photos of the Superleggras on your ex? Would like to see how it looks...would love a set of BBS LMs but I think you would be very very very very lucky to find them in 4 x 100 fitment and smaller than 17" (only ever seen one set of 17"s!).

CymruPolo, we are getting like grumpy old men moaning about stuff like this on a Friday night!

I think ollies is the perfect example of the RXII's

I've got them on mine but not lowered so don't see the full effect yet

Cheers

I'm tempted to put them back on now, and stop being a tart :D

Cyhliu's and Redline's cars are excellent examples of the 16" RXII's on a decent car, mine's just a tarted up 1.0L povvo spec.

i have to admit Cyhliu's car was the source of my inspiration of how i wanted my car to look

i had my car for a year before i started any modifications, never thought i would do it... but then i think i saw Cyhliu's GTI in Mile End, East london parked up outside golden fryer and thought i have to get that look! although having said that, it was a little while later i came across cyhliu's car on this forum and he was kind enough to tell me about his wheels! i already knew beforehand they were from mk3.5 golf cabrio's but they were a impossible to find!

i agree with cyhliu again that if you're after OEM look (which you can probably tell i was) then u can't do better than bbs rx.. i'd like to get another set of wheels right now so i can take the rxIIs off and give them a DIY refurb, but the only other wheels i would consider are G60 steelies so i dont lose that OEM look..

i'd agree with everyone here that 16's are just the right size, and it is possible lowering at least -75mm aswell so it looks ultra low whilst having nice size rims.
peace out!
