Inside your headlights dirty?!

Dont bother trying to clean them! lol.
Split mine apart at the weekend (By split I mean take the clear plastic front off of the actuall head light to get inside.) with a mate and when I went to clean the shiney chrome inside the headlight with WATER and a soft POLISHING CLOTH it started taking the chrome off! Gutting. Lucky I had two sets of lights. I did manage to clean them with kitchen roll and my breath, lol, But be VERY carefull if you decide to do this!
Does look ten times better though all clean and with the clear fronts. The clear fronts which were on the headlights before were that scratched when held infront of your face they were very hard to see through. looked like the guy previous had cleaned the lights with a brillo pad they were that scratched!
