Mk1 Polo - Valve Springs?

I'm rebuilding the head on the Mk1 Polo (895cc HA engine) and ordered new valves, springs, cotters, etc. for the rebuild. According to ETKA the 895cc engine is fitted with twin valve springs (inner and outer), whereas the 1.1 and 1.3 have a single spring.
When I stripped the head, I discovered mine only has a single spring on each valve
Do I rebuild with single or twin springs? Anyone any experience of this?
