anyone running 6 inch wide 15's???

im looking at getting some 6 inch wide 15inch alloys but am puzzled to what tyres i would use as id want them in 45 profile!!!
does anybody have 6 inch wide 15s and could shed some light on this for me
pictures would be really useful!!!

You'll want 195/45/15's James.
Same as what the GTi has as standard

Mine are 15" 7inches wide with 195/50/15 tyres and scrub the plastic arches turning hard. Changing to 45 should fix this tho.

As above 195/45/15 tyres are what you need. That is what is fitted as standard to the GTi as Tom has already pointed out, and its what I'm running on my current G60s and my next set of BBS
You can fit the 195/45s to a 7" rim with no issues at all, and can also fit them to an 8" rim but they would need stretching IIRC.
