Windscreen replaced...but bits missing ???

My polo is getting a windscreen replacement this afternoon and I'm sure it doesn't have a rain sensor. Its a 9n TDI sport my03 reg late 02.

Do any 9n's actually come with this? I didn't think so except optional on the 9n3 gti etc.

Ive got it on mine, but it was a optional extra with an Auto dipping rear view mirror included, about £135 according to my brochure..

You can see the sensor if your cars got one by looking at the fixing of the mirror from outside.. there's also a tube for the wiring to go into above the mirror.

Replaced but problems

Thanks for the useful information Buzby, mine doesn't have it then. I had already looked for the tell tale signs.

Autoglass replaced the windscreen with a generic one and I think there are bits missing. There were plastic/rubber covers in place of the holes left in the corners of the windscreen. May have been an extended lip of windscreen rubber seal covering the black covers/washer pipes in the photos. Without the bits I think rainwater will run into the engine bay because it routes through the top side on wing (where bolts are) and fall right into the bulkhead (including debry such as leaves).

Can anyone please check this out on their car? Preferably if you could take a photograph or two showing this too (so I can use this as evidence). Thanks

Thanks fella's, particularly for the pics. Panic over :)

Strange I've never ever noticed this before. On all your cars, is there anything even underneath those round things, or is it just a hole straight into bulkhead.
