help on What air filter fits on a 1.0l mpi

wat size air filter will fit i know the size of the diameter of the port but wat will fit a K&N 57i or pipercross i have made the piping for it and i have the pipe breathers (lil 1s) if people could help me out it wud be much appretiated

You can get a BMC CDA on the 1.0L engine, as shown on this guide:

I was thinking of doing it a while back :D

The diameter of the TB is 50mm.

thats a big help to me to i have a 1.4 8v polo and its the same as that but theres one thing! there are two pipes on the right of the box and one big one on the left which are breather pipes for the oil to go into the box and back in the engine! what shall we do with those cuz i put two pippercross filters on them and they leeked oil so bad! so could u halp on that half to guys? and after a bit the oil dryed up and blocked the pipes?

the breather pipes are not supposed to leak oil as far as i know. i fashioned a diy carbon enclosed kit for my 1.4 and used a normal breather filter and i havent had any problems with oil coming out... its just fumes that are supposed to recirculate into the TB.

your main problem is the foul smelling smell of petrol fumes going into the car as this would be taken in by the ventilation system if youve got your recirculating button off on the dash.

ah fair enough guys well my old car must have been crap then cuz the oil went everywhere and it spat so much thats y i had to take mine off mm thanks guys my insurance want insure me if i have an induction kit on it so im gutted lol y did the pipes on my old car leak? any theosys on that?

hmm dusnt sound like a gud idea t put 1 on its puttin off all this oil and these lil pipes hmmm i need convincing if itsworth it and wat set backs am i lookin at if i do

hey dude since i have spoken to u iv put my old induction kit back on my car and i have noticed that on my lod car 1.0l mpi it had to of those black pipes goin into the black box bt on my new 1.4 8v mpi its only got one and the one that is missing is the one which leaked oil so im jst testin it out again hope this helps in away bt jst keep your eye on it if you put one on ok man! Ritchie
