Here goes  (Sorry if its boring people)
Bought my GTi in Feb 07 with only 45k FVWSH,One lady owner, part ex me scooby was this was costing way to much to run, only got a 3 mth warranty with this, but now thinking should of paid for a bit more
as this runs out on the 15th May !

My ex:Image

New member of the family:Image

so far ive spent on repairs:
£15.00 on new plugs
needs disc's & pads all round  poss £100+
atleast 4/5 various bulbs blown £10.00 (there abouts)
New fuel filter (bought today) £8.89
Carb cleaner £5.00
various cleaning stuff £15.00

Problems so far:
Brakes need replaced

spluttering when accelerating in 2 and 3 this only starts @ 2500rpm in both gears, got the RAC to come and have a look last Thursday cleaned the leads then took it out, he did'nt seem to think it was a miss fire ! but damn car did'nt really do it  So the bloke said he could'nt really find the fault :x Its still spluttering/juddering so finally took it to VW got a guy to take it for a road test, (Whey-hay) it actually done it (sort of) guy said it could be a miss fire told him Rac bloke said might not be,Vw guy was a bit of a tosser tho :x (sorry any decent Vw mechnics) but then said if it was his car then he would try the fuel filter,So £8.00 later and a call to VW to find the damn thing & eye full of petrol  Seem to of helped but time will tell.

Now the good points:
Great car to drive had various GTi's but favour this :) (did have a Proton Gti dont laugh !!!,but was quick) :P
Got tints done cheap enough £90.00
replaced alloys £350Image
Dark Lexus light (from Dee-Vub) when they finally get here
new exhaust & airfilter coming soon

One thing i want to know is can i get my cam belt done before the warranty runs out or will the company say this does not need to be done as there is no fault ! :?: (hope i can save me loads of cash  )

Please add your fun filled expriences as i know i can't be the only one

I got mine in November 2006 with 49000 miles, 2 previous ownersa nd some some service history. so far i've only had to replace ....

new motor for passenger window (done on warranty)
1 rear bulb

things I have to fix are ... catch on passenger seat keeps coming off, bit of superglue should sort that

one of the rear number plate lights is loose and keeps falling out the bumper, think i may superglue that too!

I got mine in 2000, new. Nothing's ever went wrong with it, ever. It's done 70k and is still running with it's original tyres and gearbox!

i brought my 3yrs ago 2 owners 58k on clock and a full vwsh it had been really beaten up front seat broke, steering wheel bent, burn holes in the carpet due to some cowboys welding trying to fix the seat. air vent broke and sun visors mirrors broke. but not even a scratch or dent on the body :D (was up for 5G got it for 3850) due to the above
Now 3yrs on every thing is sweet sitting low as fcuk and lookin like a dub should with freshly refurbed bbs wheels.

Bought mine back in September 2006, with 48k on the clock...from a dodgy dealer, as soon as I left the place it stalled & the engine management light came on!!

To cut a long story short it turned out to be a dirty sensor. Since then bought:

-New sensor
-Paid for full VW service & check up + cambelt change with water pump to be on the safe side
-New gti floor mats
-BBS 16's RXII's with new tyres
-new seat belt (stopped pinging back)
-brake caliper paint

thats it for now
