engine conversion

Hi guys. I currently own a MK4 polo 96 (the best shape by far ) and i was in need of a power hike so ive decided to convert from a 1000cc to a 1800cc from a Golf gti 16v. The only problem is now that ive started i was wondering if anybody had done this before and if they have what problems they had

Cheers mate but i think its goin to be a beast to fit aswell. Currently all thats been done is the engines come out of the golf and is underneath the polo and one special engine mount is made. Still a bit to do.

dsoe the engine drop stright in?
would a MK 2 golf gti 8v ebgine fit right in a polo?

proably not, from what i can remember the bonnet line is too steep.
