Hi

Finally got a mechanic friend to start on my GTI conversion into my 1.4 6n2. EVerything seemed fine with some slight hiccups along the way.

Now we have managedto replace the wiring loom, ecu, clocks, chip and transponder along with the conversion. Basically everything from the GTI hjas been put in but the car wont turn over.

Just looking for some help.

Thanks

I presume it doesnt even attempt to fire. Check the fuses, the starter motor wiring and the spark plugs+distributor. A haynes manual may help - its probably something really small thats been overlooked :P

did you manage to find the fault??

I'm guessing you did use the key that was coded with the transponder you replaced then? i.e. you swapped your ignition switch for the GTI one so the GTI key fits it? or did you tape the key to the transponder ring and use your origional key to turn the engine over??
