Windscreen wiper issue with my 16v

My wind screen wipers are not working properly.... When I switch the wiper on, it only wipe a few times, after that it is then stop operatiing. Is this means I have to replace my wipers motor? Or there is something wrong to the switch? Cheers

my rear wiper had this problem, i checked to make sure it was all clan around the motor and ntohign was sticking. semed to help for a while. then it blew a fuse. and even now i swapped out a new fuse it doesnt work and subsequently neither do my electric mirrors.
I'd like an answer too!
