After looking around on the internet reading reviews on all the different sensors, I decided to have some Quanan parking sensors fitted to the due to the good reviews.

Very happy with them and would highly recommend them. They have a one year warranty. Unlike the cheap ebay ones they have many accessories and it is easy to get support, replacement parts or sensors etc.

You can self fit if you wish. I personally used one of the recommended installers on their site. Gave them the paint code and they colour coded the sensors before coming round to fit them.

How much did it cost you incl installation ?
Did they take the bumper off or just the bumper strip when drilling the holes ?
How long did it take ?

£185 to supply, colour code and fit a 4 sensor kit (mobile fitting service).

If you go to the site and click on 'fitting service' it will show a list of installers and for some of them the prices they charge.

Neither the bump strip or bumper needed to be removed. Took under 45mins.

Thanks Nickp. Might have a go myself.
I'll have a look at the luggage compartment lock cover to see the sensor wires can easily come through from the bumpers into the luggage compartment.

There is a grommet already there for the wires to enter. The cover inside the boot you remove to change the bulbs on the left hand side tail lights, the wires enter at the bottom of that compartment.

You need to connect one of the wires to the reverse light bulb power wire, and the polo only has one reverse light, on the left so that is the best place to bring the cables in. The exhaust is also on the left so ensure the wires are not slack or they may drop and touch the exhaust.

No offence to people on here, but why on earth would you want parking Sensors, if you cant judge a distance then there is something wrong, Waste of money in my eyes,

As said this is in no way a dig at members here !

one can judge distances when one can see what's behind. Sensors pick up low objects that are not visible from the rear view mirror -- especially if you have lowered suspension by 50 mm.
