Hi everyone,

My windscreen wipers are not working properly. When I switch the wiper to the fastest setting is working, but the rest of the two setting are not working... The screen wash jet is working, but wipers are not moving when the jet spray the water onto my windscreen. My rear wiper is totally fine. Has anyone of you experienced this before? What do you think? I dont think its the problem with the motor, otherwise the fastest level of setting should not be working then....

I somehow read that three times as 'widescreen wipers' :S I was like what a non standard windscreen! I must see

I would guess at either the stalk is playing up or one of the relays. If you know anybody close with a polo then try out their relay. I think the mk3 golf one will fit too, its an uncommon mod because you can set the intermittent time with those relays.

i have a brand new relay that i can sell you? i bought it from shepperds vw dealer in bishops stortford (hertfordshire)

it was £25 ill do it for 15 inc postage if you want one?

i dont need it as that wasnt the problem and i cant take it back as its an electrical part.
