quick sunroof question

Would a MK2 sunroof (just manual push up) fit in to a MK4?
it's for a friend, not myself, OR could someone measure they're sunroof for me, that'd be great

are you talking about a one similar to a sunhatch. a small lever with a locking mechanism to adjust the height?
these are a universal type of sunroof and can be fitted to nearly any cars! there are company's who fit them! Hopefully someone will be able to help you out!
you could do it yourself, but depends how confident you are at tacking a jigsaw to your roof!

well not my car as i said, but when i called this morning a VW dealer they said it must of been fitted after the factory, so i think i'll have to get a universal one again, anyone got links to sites where i could information on such things?

your right there. they are not factory, thats for sure! however, back in the day, the dealers did fit these sunroofs to them! My G40 has a colourcoded one
i think mine is called a sunhatch. i also think britax used to do them too!
