Simple as that... Poly VS Rubber bushes which is the preferred?

Poly - stiffer and harder wearing or rubber for a more forgiving/standard ride that will inevitably end up with more banging of my front end? and eventually my rear! If poly is preferred where can I get a full set? Roll bar, track rods, wichbones etc etc

All arguments and recommendations welcome...
