Hi, I have a 3 door polo manufactured late 2005 so is the facelift model!

I have central locking at the moment and would like to convert it to remote central locking. When i turn the key and hold it in the lock position the windows go up and vice versa so i believe it has a comfort module?

I have seen the kit on ebay but they apparantly won't work with the vw switchblade key which for me is very important lol!

So i will obviously need an oem vw remote centreal module ? I will ask the ppl on ebay breaking cars if they have them?

I am not sure what i would need to do and if someone who has done it before could comment i would be grateful!!!!

picture of car after polish and diamonbrite paint protection included for reference if i messed model number up

Not a problem, I converted mine using the Rightclick KE60W click I bought for 30 quid on ebay. Bloody good deal, the key are well good quality (cut for 4 quid!!!!)

Only problem is that the transponder doesn't work when u put it in the space provided. But I have a cunning method around that - if u decide to go for it (with I recommended u do) mail me on Relentless_stallion at yahoo dot co dot uk and i'll help u out.

Anyways, 70 quid for fitting as well (can recommend in birmingham) its a steal!!!

I've heard some people hide the transponder in the car, but personally I think that's not worth the central locking.....

"I've heard some people hide the transponder in the car"

Hide the transponder in the car? Jeeez what a stupid idea.

"can you still use the vw key?"

The original key (one you took the transponder out of) will only work for unlocking the doors, the car will start with the old key but stall shortly after.

"and the transponder problem is it easy? "

Yeah its easy, the transponder is a little cylindrical piece of what looks to be glass. U pop it out the old key, take the guts out of the flip key (they just come out, easy) and drop the trasponder into the hinge of the flip key bit (as far as u can get it) and then u block it off with a bit of plastic bag or sellotape (stop it rattling about)

Piece of p***.
