weird noises

hey,
anybody hearing any funny noises from under the handbrake area

Can you be more desciptive? Do you mean whilst moving, does it vary with speed? I get noise from my exhaust heat shield. It vibrates somewhere, which varies with engine revs.

well the noise is kinda hard to explain because its like tapping noise like there is something hitting from underneath but i am not 100 percent sure if it is dat and it sort of happens when like if im in second gear and am at bout 3500 - 4000 revs and then if i completely take my foot of the pedal is when the noise happens so does anybody know what it could be ??

Try the revving stationary with somebody listening under/around the car to check for obvious rattles.

sorry to comment on old post, but this happened to me and its a guard of some sort, probably the cat convertor guard, fell off for me, if you get a broom to hold it whilst revving it should go away then you know its that. not sure if its even needed
