debadging tailgate

hey polo gods and gurus
im looking to debadge the tailgate on my polo provided i get it on friday looking to remove the polo and Tdi badges will it leave holes or marks where the badges may have been studded in?

They arent studded in. They are glued on with a foam, but the foam may well leave a nice tar mark which is next to impossible to remove completely. Autoglym intensive tar remover is said to work well on it.

ah yeh great well i have intensive tar remover anyway so should i use floss to get the badges off?

Yup you can. When ive taken them off in the past, i heated them up with a hair dryer first - that way the adhesive on the foam is much easier to work with
Either floss or fishing line will work

Once youve got the badges off and most of the black foam - use some polisher/t-cut and this will remove the rest of it for you
