before i start i curbed one of my gti monza's at the beginning of the year by losing traction doing a 3 point turn in the snow and going uncontrolably sailing in to a curb :(
so on thursday i coughed up for a replacement wheel from vag parts which arrived this morning and is spot on - really recommend them highly

so will get that fitted tomorrow and get another tyre for the scratched one thats coming off and keep it for a spare in the garage

so i spent today doing the full treatment on my gti so shes looking new again

here was my process

initial clean
2 bucket method wash with megs gold class shampoo & megs washmit
dry with autoglym synthetic chamois

bodywork
quik detailer and megs clay bar
megs deep paint cleaner (stage 1)
deep crystal polish (stage 2)
a trusty wax (not megs) for protection
quik detailed car to lose any missed bits and smears
all buffed over with megs micro fibre cloths to remove dust and static

glass
auto glym professional range glass compound ( remove any imperfections and reduce marking)
autoglym fast glass inc sunroof and mirrors

plastics
auto glym vinal and rubber care on wiper arms, trim, rubbers, skirts, valances and ariel

exhaust
auto glym metal polish

wheels
removed and cleaned inside and out of all wheels,
cleaned the arches and brakes
treated the tyres with a 1/2 and 1/2 mix of auto glym vinal and rubber care and instant tyre dressing for best shine

and yesterday i cleaned the whole insides at work with interior shampoo, vacuumed it and used megs leather cream on my seats

the car looks and smells just like new but im well and truely wrecked haha

heres a pic from my phone next to the girlfriends mum's corsa
pic really dont do mine justice though

what should i look at doing next? most of you already know its rather long spec, any suggestions

yeah decided against the bigger alloys for money and weight related handling purposes

and iv alreadyt had xenons in the past but behind the bulb caps light pattern was shocking so iv gone back to standard bulbs as they give better light spread, see the later polo gti does not have projectors

Down the bottom is the Turbo Induction (Intake if you like) for our car. Am sure that it is just out over the past few months. A guy in my work replaced his S3 intake and made a difference.

gotta say the paint work after the last few days is like glass, its just so glossy and so smooth its well worth the effort

took the lining out from the bonnet today too and gave the paint under it a dam good going over, its not lacquered so not as deep as the pannels but still very shiny
