V-Power and timing

Hi, today i ran my car rite into the red, so i put £20 of V-Power in and for some reason i lost ALL power, Its a 1.4L AEX Engine and it was running like a 1.0L it really had nothing. This always seems to happen on V-power, It doesn't loose its bottom torque but it looses all strength, i couldn't get up a hill in 2nd!

I decided to advance the timing a bit, which worked well i have allot more power, I set it so i have No pinking and good performance, it seems to pull much better through out the rev range so i will mark the timing for V-Power and Normal fuel.

But why do i loose so much power with the timing where it should be?? its odd!

something else going on there. my 16v always runs on v power with no probs.

maybe you sucked some s**t in somewhere by going so far into the red?

Possibly but it seems that V-power always looses me power! Only the timing advance will give me a bit more.

Other users have said about the problems V power can cause - Personally it pulls just as good on vpower as it does on premium unleaded in my opinion :P But every engine is different unfortunately
