front lowering

i want to lower the front of my mk4 polo. i have standard shocks and springs all round and am interested in just lowering the front 40mm with springs. what will this look like guys? i want the car to look lower at the front will 40mm make much difference? will using springs on the stock shocks be ok and how will this effect driving etc? is it ok for your suspesion? sorry about the long post

it will look silly and drive terribly, maybe even dangerously.
shorter springs will have harder spring rates and are designed to be used in fours.

Yeah it will look like you have slammed the brakes on when doing about 60 and the car nose drives. Also if the back is too low when your driving the car looks like a dog with worms (dragging it ar*e about the place)

it'll look really dodgy and when braking dive even more so it's not worth it. I'v got a full set of Pi suspention for sale although one of the shocks is slightly bent. You can take off the springs and use the rear shockers with your standard front shocks. Its a 40mm drop kit and i'm gona put the pics on the forum asap. Let me know if your interested

As everyone has said, it'll look like you could only afford to have half a job done, and I wouldn't like to put money on how well it'll handle.

I would go for a 60mm drop on the front and 60mm on the back. Quite a few spring manufacturers make a set up like this. H&R and Jamex do this setup. Watch out for rubbing, might be a good idea to get the shocks done too!!!!

Thats not silly
Mines lowered 100mm with the wrong tyres. Put 15s on with 195/45/15s n your laughing
