Hi
I have been offered some bbs colour concept alloys for £180 with tyres.
The tyres from what I have read and seen have plenty of tread left in them and the the rims themselves look great for there age but 2 have suffered some minor curbing
1 more that the other but this is more on the rim than the alloy face itself

I do really like the wheels and feel 180 quid is still good money.
Surely curbing can be cleaned up with a refurb?

I e-mailed the guy and he said he would take 180.
The RXIIs are nice but I really like the colour concept ones too as they are not seen around a lot and still give your car a neat touch

Go for it?

Cheers

yip, go for it mate, will look nice with a drop and for that price i dont think is that bad, and as for a refurb you will be looking at least £40 a wheel iirc

They are actually made by BBS and were as standard on the colour concept Polo's

Yeah I have only ever seen them on the colour concept models.

Just feel a bit unsure about the minor damage on 2 wheels but to be honest there about 5 years old so you would be lucky to find some of that age that havent taken any damage I guess.

the damage would be sorted with a refurb. As long as there isnt like a massive chunk missing all should be fine.

Yeah I cant see there is anything major about the damage. It doesnt really look that noticable unless you look up close as it is on the edge

You got any alloys for yours yet?

Not finalised on the price yet, but it will be far below £250 fingers crossed. Will need a refurb tho :(

the tyres on the ones I was thinking of getting seemed to still have quite a lot of tread left which made me think 180 was a good price

There is a car here http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... hp?t=31464 in the GTI forums with the same alloys I was lookin at on!
