For the love of God, no! Apparently Jason Lee is playing the Dad (Don't do it Jason, even though you're a scientologist).
I think I'll just bang my head on the wall to remove all memories of the original cartoon

the chipmunks were wicked!
although im not so sure about them being all 3D...that might be too much. why do they insist on doing that with our well known and much loved 2D cartoon characters?

It's bloody stupid, why can't they leave the cartoons we watched as kids alone? Haven't they learned from the live action Garfield? They're ruining my childhood memories. Next, they're butchering Transformers, I don't care whether it's all in eye-popping CGI, it should be left alone, get some creativity, Hollywood!
Also, why does Alvin look like a run-of-the-mill chav on the poster? He looks like he's from Croydon. Also, why isn't Simon a geek, like in the cartoon?

ollie that video made my day! (and i have had an ok day) and the captain planet thing! that is so amazing. we made the rings.....and played the game! have you listened to the theme tune recently? i have a video....listen to the lyric 'wind!' its so funny. well it makes me giggle
that is my favourite cartoon of all time though, and more importantly it has a fundamentally important message. i mean is it really coincidence that everyone is getting global warming conscious just as the generation who grew up with the captan reaches their influencial prime? i think not!

Heh, I remember the song at the end more vividly, opposed to the intro bit. I always thought the lyrics were cool
Wiiii-iiiind!
I dunno whether the moral of the program got through to me at the time (I always thought it was a fun cartoon to watch). But I like to think that some of the cartoons I watched as a kid helped form me into the person that I am today.
