Whoops

Just to rub more salt into the wound, my Polo passed yesterday. And I can safely say that your car is probably in a better condition, what with the back tyres rubbing and such on mine.

Oh the joys of being in cahoots with an MOT tester.

How exactly is the headlamp buggered?

Ouch!
I guess its an easy thing to fail on atleast its not major and your car is well looked after!

I really need to sort my car out, I am sure it could be a lot quicker than it is. I am just wondering if the fact the EPC light is on is effecting its performance some how.

I have really got to get VAG-COM hooked up.
not sure if i should do it my self or get it done somewhere else. Would the EPC light cause my car to fail its MOT?

EPC light on can put the engine in reduced performance mode :P

Well its passed now :D:D

The headlight had a broken adjustment lever, so the reflector was all loose.

I had the whole VW workshop crowded round my car checking out the BMC and the HIDs it was soo funny lol

So £70 for a new headlamp and all is sorted!!!

Its worth getting it fixed prior. Some things they will partial retest at no cost, others require a full retest which is another £50!!!

The big bad garage man, his big money grabbing hands and Lums impending death?

i see...surely there is a garage thats affordable near you.

Spongy breaks sounds like your brake fluid is low - that would also cause the brake warning light. Dim brakelight is probably a bad earth, or a bad fuse something simple like that :P

Whats up with the handbrake?

well the cap broke...i go though this in chassis if you want the whole story :P it used to flash, now its constantly on, its not below min but it is slightly wonky and i dunno...

handbrake only clicks once/twice,( when i looked in haynes to check it was ok it says, handbrake should click 4-7 times at full extention...meh) i think maybe its been tightened before? its hard to put on basically but demonstrating this to some peeps at gti i managed to make it click 3 times, anyways i thought it was meana click more than that, it didnt used to hold me on big hills...but how im just more forceful with it....

i also drove past my friend on the way to work and got the text...

Lum doesnt sound very well, is the exhaust spittling or something?

plus her engine is really loud.

god i could right an essay!!!
