New Tyres - Steering wheel problem

Hey guys,
On Wednesday i went off camping in devon for a few days.

I needed to get the rear tyres replaced because they where pretty illegal and one had a slow puncture. so took them down the garagae and got some michelin energy's put on to replace the old ones. I put the new ones on the front because the current ones where some cheap enduro tyres that the previous owner had put on just before i brought the car so they are new but absolutly rubish they just spin when its wet.

Any way they fitted the new tyres i drove off half way home i noticed my steering wheel was not straight even thought i was driving straight so i turned it straight and the car started going off to the right into on coming traffic.
I am no expert on cars etc (learning slowly) I just assumed it was something to do with the tracking. Phonned the place that fitted the tyres and they said it was because they are new tyres and the car has got to get used to them ( i was though that was a load of Bull )

Today my girlfriends grandad ( a mechanic ) had a look and he thinks that either its a rougue tyre or they have not balanced it the wheels properly. I stood and watched the guy fit them ( he only looked about 17 ) he looked like he knew what he was doing though, He spent some time balancing them but weather he did really a good job of it i dont know.

So yeah - what should i do? My steering wheel is slightly to the left now and its really doing my head in because it was fine when i took it down there.

they did check the tracking and said the rear passenger side wheel was off by 1mm but thats not going to cause this. They did also check the air preassure.

Any advice would be great. Sorry for the long post!
