engine light on display-how it was sorted - at last.

engine light stayed on for aweek, no other probs, decided to change spark plugs .

When the big air box was off , a split in a hose was seen, from a black circular thing to a metal pipe to the throttle body.
03D 103 606 £6.30 from VW agent ," do you want the other side , i've sold two this week ?"

Wouldn't idle !! kept cuttng out --- sinking stomach feeling .
after trying to drive it a little it kept going .
Five miles later the engine light went out.
